That is according to this year\u2019s edition of the Novus Democracy Report 2026, which points to a widening gap between citizens and decision-makers and growing concern about the future of democracy. This year\u2019s report was presented on the Almedalen stage as part of the opening programme, together with our partners.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/almedalsveckan.info\/rg\/almedalsveckan\/evenemang-almedalsveckan\/2026\/7505\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong><span class=\"break-words tvm-parent-container\"><span dir=\"ltr\">Watch the full seminar here on Almedalsveckan Play, <\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/a><span class=\"break-words tvm-parent-container\"><span dir=\"ltr\">it was also broadcast on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.svtplay.se\/forum\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>SVT2 Forum<\/strong><\/a> on Wednesday 24 June at 9.45.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>In this year\u2019s report, we followed up questions from previous years on the state of democracy, voters\u2019 trust in public institutions and the widening gap between citizens and politicians.
