The annual survey Swedes and the Internet has received more and more attention over the years. Novus has helped the Swedish Internet Foundation carry out all the surveys that form the basis of the report. \u201cNovus has helped us develop a time- and cost-effective model,\u201d says Jannike Till\u00e5 at the Swedish Internet Foundation.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Swedes and the Internet is Sweden’s largest statistical survey of internet use in the country. Through the survey, the Swedish Internet Foundation wants to contribute facts and insights into how internet use in Sweden is developing. It also wants to help ensure that the digitalisation of Swedish society and business takes place on a well-informed basis.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur biggest challenge in the project is limiting the scope and choosing what to focus on, because the field is so very broad,\u201d says Jannike Till\u00e5, Vice President Communications & Public Benefit at the Swedish Internet Foundation.<\/p>\n

Provides a basis for future initiatives<\/strong><\/p>\n

The reports focus on topics such as how Swedes communicate online, their use of the internet and e-services, how children use the internet, social media, and e-commerce and online fraud.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe use the results of the survey as a basis for our continued work. For example, we have developed the initiatives Parenting and Children and the internet to spread knowledge about how adults can support and meet children in the digital world. We see which areas need action and work from there,\u201d explains Jannike.<\/p>\n

A time- and cost-effective model<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Swedish Internet Foundation has worked with Novus on every study carried out for Swedes and the Internet.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have appreciated their survey methodology, their high level of service and their help as a sounding board all the way. Novus has the expertise to develop methods, and they act as a partner, not a subcontractor, taking responsibility together with us for ensuring the survey maintains the highest quality at every stage. They have helped us develop a time- and cost-effective model, and it has worked very well,\u201d says Jannike.<\/p>\n

The majority of the surveys could be carried out using the Novus Sweden Panel. As it is digital, the Sweden Panel is a cost-effective and fast way to reach many people. To truly reflect the whole of Swedish society, telephone interviews were also needed as a supplement. After each survey had been weighted, the results were combined so that all groups were represented. Jannike Till\u00e5 is positive about the future collaboration with Novus.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt feels great to have a partner in Novus who takes full responsibility and with whom we can work closely. We have also used Novus for a number of smaller surveys for internal use, such as brand tracking, our insights offering and digital lessons. The fact that they have the expertise to run complex survey projects from start to finish is a great asset,\u201d she concludes.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
